Long Day

Good Afternoon! 


This morning, I planned to wake up early to workout, but my body decided to sleep in :)
It felt amazing to rest and I think I needed to relax from waking up early everyday. I woke up around 9:00 and had breakfast!

I know, I know, you've seen this before, but I just can't seem to get enough of my Fage! It's so creamy and packed with protein ^^ 

My workout was 30 minutes of weights and Cassey's HIIT Bikini Blaster 2 and 3! I think I died doing the abs workout. I was sweating like a pig WOW :)

Rewinding to yesterday's shenanigans, I started my morning with oatmeal! My favorite breakfast food! I swear I could eat this every day. 


We had some errands to attend to at Costco (LOVE) and Sam's club. Costco usually has the best samples and I was ready to go! But unfortunately, they didn't have any at all :( So I stuck to my second best thing:

This is my definitely one of my favorite flavors so far, being the nut butter lover I am ;) It tasted like peanut butter was slathered all over it and it wasn't chalky. YUM

We headed home after a long day of walking and enjoyed a simple meal.

Another thing you guys don't know about me is that I take ballroom dance lessons. I've only been doing it for about a month haha but I'm loving it. It challenges me to use my body is a totally different way ^^

My dance instructor invited me to a party that they were having so I dressed up and left around 8:10.

I really enjoyed the party! I danced with other people and made new friends. I'm definitely doing this again soon!

What Do You Want To Do?!

Good Morning! How's everyone doing? :) 
Yesterday was Memorial Day and was an off day for a lot of us. I hope that you have had the time to thank all those men and women who served or is serving our country. God bless them! 


I didn't have anything planned yesterday but I wanted to spend the last day with my sister well! She was going back to school today so we started to brainstorm what to do. 
But before we even got ourselves an idea, we literally sat on the couch and watched tv, havin this conversation: 


"What do you want to do?" 
"I don't know. The beach is too hot right?"
" Yeah. Hmm can we go over your friend's house?" 
"I think she's busy..."


It was pretty exhausting haha. But we finally decided to go to our cousin's house to hang out and stay for dinner. 


Before we left, we had lunch! My mom prepared us black bean noodles with veggies. I helped her cook ^^

When we got to my cousin's house, we talked and caught up with each other. I got the munchies and snacked on this. 


I've seen this popcorn at stores but never had the chance to buy it. It was just okay, but the ingredients were all natural which is a plus for me. I prefer my popcorn to be sweet! I also had some unpictured mango on the side.

Some of us were in charge of the ingredients so we went out to Publix.

LOL dance dares are impossible to do when people are constantly moving.

My cousin made us jambalaya and salad for dinner. It was delicious but I didn't snap a picture of it >< 
Then we proceeded to watch Shrek 4 and part of the mermaid discovery show on Animal Planet. It was good until we saw "live footage" of a mermaid encounter. 

I got home around 12 and was ready to face plant my bed! It was a great day with family and food.

Day with My Sister

Hello everyone! I hope your day was wonderful :)
I recently got out of school a few days ago so it's summer break for me. Although it doesn't even feel like it at all~ My friend actually woke up early, got dressed, and went to his car, thinking it was time to go to school!   
UMMM. awkward. 

I had a great time with my sister today, shopping around at the mall. I didn't take that many pictures but I'll have more later, promise! ^^
Here was my outfit, bright and colorful for summer! 


Once lunch was eaten, which was simple Chinese takeout (it wasn't bad!), we went to one of the biggest malls in our city. It was a long drive but we passed time by talking and catching up on life. I told her about this blog and she thought it was a great idea! She also gave me helpful advice<3 

We looked around and fell upon Michael Kor bags and wallets! MY GOSH are they gorgeous. 



Then we went to abercrombie and fitch, hollister, american eagle, and Forever 21. I bought 2 shirts and feather earrings~ 



My sister then wanted to check out the Best Buy Mobile store to look at her future phone, Samsung Galaxy II. Not going to lie, it has great features. But I would never give up my iPhone for it! I looked at the Kindle Fire on display and saw this:

Did you guys see the Avengers? It was the best movie I've seen in a while! The Hulk made me laugh the most because of his random anger moments haha.
After that, we headed home to a delicious spicy steamed fish dish my mom prepared for us. I don't have a picture but it was amazing. I am constantly learning how to cook from my mom everyday because I watch her make food for our family :) Definitely going to take these recipes to college! 

Backing up to the beautiful morning, I had an awesome workout that consisted of 20 minutes of abs, 30 minutes of weight lifting, and 10 minutes of cardio. Shout out to Blogilates for a heart-pumping full body workout!

I had a yogurt mess that was just right for the hot weather! It contained Fage 0%, pumpkin, bananas, blueberries, Kashi Golean, and Peanut Butter Puffins. 

Can't. Get. Enough. <3

Had an amazing and blessed day :) Going to read and hit the sheets!

My First Post!

Hello blog world! 
My name is Alina and I have a passion for food and health. 
I always wanted to make a blog to express my feelings towards having a balance. I hope that you are encouraged by my posts and feel free to talk to me :) I went through an unhealthy relationship with food but finally gave back what my body needed. I will get into depth with my past but for now, let's get to know each other first! 


A few things you should know about me: 
1. I read healthy living blogs like its my job! They inspire to be the best I can be physically, mentally, and emotionally.
2. Because my mom, I started cooking at a very young age. Whenever I have time, I bake for my family and friends! 
3. I was never a athletic person. I was one of those kids who ALWAYS got last place during school fun runs. But now, I find my self enjoying exercise and do it everyday. 






I hope that starting this blog will help me be be accountable for school, fitness and nutrition as I find myself again.
