Don't Go Changing...

"To try to please me, you never let me down before!"

Just as my friend Billy Joel would sing it, things here have been getting pretty routine and repetitive.
Not that I mind it, oh no sir. Why change a good thing, am I right?

The first delicious "thing" that has been the same for weeks, is my breakfast.

Sweet omelet.

Every.

Single.

Day.

This is one of those times where I taste one thing and get hooked on it until I find something else to munch on! Does anybody else have that problem? I don't know what it is, but the combination of fat and protein keeps me going until the next meal.
Get in my belly!

Numero dos is #plantpower! Hello tomatoes, spinach, carrots and every colorful vegetable within my reach. I welcome them warmly with open arms y'all. You should too!

One time, I actually ate two salads in a day! My body has been craving these vegetables for some odd reason, when I usually grab fruit to fuel me. This is a BIG change for someone like me who has a raging sweet tooth. To quell my crazy cravings, check out this baby!

Sweet potatoes with a generous scoop of almond butter! This is the perfect snack to help hold your tummy until lunch time and I've been having this during the day at school. I had to sneak a picture in Spanish :)

The third and final thing that been rocking my foodie world are california rolls.
DUDE. Why can't I stop eating this for dinner?!

It's those dang avocados again. Curse their creaminess.

I'm sorry for being so MIA this week! I recently got two new SAT tutors and they definitely don't go easy on new students. I've also been trying to set up a plan for Keep Smiling for the upcoming months. I definitely need more variety in my little corner of the blog world to spice things up a bit! My schedule is jam packed. I'm surprised I haven't gone delirious yet!
Actually, judging from the way I treat my green peppers from my garden, I could be.

Pepper-stache<3

I can't wait till tomorrow because I have a bit of surprise for you all!
Make sure to check in :)

I would love some ideas for the blog so if you have any thing you want to see more of, please let me know!

I {Heart} Burpees

Happy Saturday! What better way to kick off a three day weekend with some sweat? I'll get to that later!

I don't know about you guys, but the weather has been amazing! I can definitely feel the cold weather slowly drifting to Florida. About time too :)

The wind loves me!

But even though the weather has been changing, my cravings for salad beasts has been going strong. Got to love the greens<3

I have free cookie coupons for Jason's Deli so I decided to get one for dessert.
Little fact about me! My favorite cookie are oatmeal raisin walnut. This was spot on in flavor, texture and sweetness! YUMMMM~

In Biology class yesterday, I was busy working on a experiment and ended up being the last one finished. Figures since I tend to take light years when it come to ANY project!

Luckily, my friends kept me company and even brought over some furry cutie pies.

My teacher keeps her hamsters in the classroom for us to play with.
We IB kids tend to get bored pretty quickly so these little guys help the time go by :)

When I got home, it was time to slap on my running shorts and go for a run!

I ended up running over 2 miles and coming back to my house for M100s. I then rounded off my workout with ZWOWs and Blogilates!

Last but not least...ZWOW #23
It's called burpee torture for a reason! This workout incorporate 100 competition burpees.
Cray. Zee.

After doing the first 25, I was going pretty fast. But when I reached 50, my heart rate was soaring!
When I learned what burpees were a year ago, I could only do 10 at a time. I absolutely dreaded it when HIIT workouts had them. But now, I can do 40 without stopping and I love it. It makes you use your whole body and the cardio is insane!

Learn to love them guys!

After getting my sweat on, dinner was no brainer because Mama Smile had it already cookin'. As I walked in my house, I could tell from the delicious smell what was up!

California rolls!

Nutritious spread of veggies to wrap the nori with! Carrots, cucumber, crab meat, avocado, and fish eggs<3

Fish eggs won the show :)

We needed something warm so Mama Smile made miso soup to go on the side.

Man oh man, I couldn't stop myself from saying "mmMMMMmm" every 10 seconds!

After dinner, I looked in my fridge and saw pumpkin I had to use up because I was sure it was on its last legs. Enter Pumpkin Banana Bread!

I adapted this recipe from Courtney's Pumpkin Banana Bread and switched out a few ingredients.

I couldn't help but listen to Christmas music!
What? Don't act like you don't do this too ;)

This morning was a "sweet breakfast" kind of day!

I had a egg white omelete stuffed with Barney Butter and bananas, topped with whipped cream my beloved Fage. Honeydew on the side for a punch of vitamin C!

I have to hurry and get ready for the hospital!
Have an amazing day everyone<3

Saturday Scenes {Part Two}

Hello everyone!
It was absolutely beautiful today. Got me smiling right when I woke up :)

These days, I've been in a breakfast slump and it's hard to think of some yummy combinations for my growling stomach.
But inspiration is just what you need to make something magical!

Behold...

The Sweet Omelete!
This was adapted from Clare's Apple Cinnamon Stuffed Omelete at Fitting It All In. This girl is a genius and I immediately knew I had to make a variation of this beautiful meal.

I whisked two egg whites with a splash of vanilla extract, then cooked it until firm. I took a scoop of Barney Butter and spread it on one side of the omelet. I sliced half a banana on top of the BB and flipped that baby over!

Topped it with Fage and cinnamon<3

Bright sliced peach on the side!

SWOON.

I decided not to go volunteering to catch up on my studies and that exactly what I did. For 4 hours! Good thing breakfast held me over for some brain work because I was on a roll ;)

Lunch was not pictured (sorry!) but it was soybean paste soup with the usual veggie sides.

I needed to stretch my legs after sitting for so long! My parents wanted to go to the outlet mall and I was all up for it.
Me? Shopping? Match made in heaven.

We walked around and visited Michael Kors, Coach and my favorite: Nike!

I looked around the Nike Store and found some goodies.
Naturally.

I found a shirt in two colors for sale for 12 bucks! Also some running shorts that fit perfectly.
What do you think?

I knew I didn't need both shirts so after some thinking, I finally picked the dark purple/blue color to go with the shorts.
Alina like!

I was in a crazy mood today and all I wanted to do was take pictures.

Check out this family of ducks in the small fountain!

They were quaking so loudly, I could hear them from far away. I ran to the sounds of the quacks and snapped a pic of these cuties.

They kinda remind me of my own family<3

I had some froyo to hold me over till dinner but I definitely got too much.
Oops! It was delicious nonetheless.

Banana, coconut colada and kettle corn(!!) yogurt with fruit, mochi, and graham cracker crumbs!

We kept dinner light because of that reason and ate what we were craving: Publix subs!

Enjoyed outside of Mcdonald's.
Another blessed day!

Tomorrow is Korean Thanksgiving (Chuseok) and I am excited to spend it with my church family :)
I think we should say something each day about what we are thankful for. If you look hard enough, I promise you'll find many things.
And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:15-17

Have sweet dreams everyone<3
